Thank you to all that wished me good thoughts/prayers last week. As you can see from the photos below I am already back behind the lens at the Sierra Madre Rose Float Assoc. I honestly don't know how and must look like a heck of a site with this hard collar on but it is what makes my heart leap.

The surgery was a positive experience in so many ways. From hearing my room number when a code blue was called and not knowing if it was my time, I gained a new found peace. Do what you love, whatever you are doing in this moment and do your best. Be with those you love. Just my 2Cents for the New Year!

Shooting water just fascinates me. Capturing the movement of it and the subject while shooting manually is just my kind of fun!

As I look at the crisp water lines and knowing it was in the 50’s yesterday evening, my heart goes out to all the water polo girls that are swimming in outdoor pools. You guys are tough!

Funny, I did a family photo session on Sat. and of course this mom says she never photographs well, go figure! Thanks you guys were great.

I was close to the water in Pacific Palisades and this photo was taken as the sun was just going behind a hill. The colors of the surrounding roadside (yes, right of the road) park were fantastic and made the best canvas for the beautiful mom.

I spend most of my time behind the lens, that is where I really I am comfortable. I took this photo on the way to the Ruff Riders in Texas and no, I was not driving :)

I have missed not posting to the blog and keeping in touch but after photographing the US Olympic Sailing Pre-Trails the weekend before last, I returned home to my PC and my main program hard drive failed. So, I have sent the last weekend reinstalling all of my programs. Of course, no photos were harmed, as I do not keep those on my program drive and I will be soon installing a RAID so I have another exact copy in 3 years when this happens again.

Check back for some exciting trails photos in a few days!
